What Counts as a Plumbing Emergency
- Burst or cracked pipe โ shut off your main water valve immediately, then call us
- Sewer line backup โ sewage in tubs, toilets gurgling, multiple drains slow at once
- No hot water โ failed water heater, especially in winter
- Flooding from any plumbing source โ washing machine line, supply line, toilet overflow
- Gas smell near appliances โ leave the house immediately, call the gas company, then us
- Running toilet that won't stop overnight โ can waste 200+ gallons
What to Do Before We Arrive
- Burst pipe: Find your main shut-off valve (usually near the water meter or where the line enters the house) and turn it off clockwise
- Sewer backup: Don't run any water or flush any toilets โ it will make the backup worse
- Water heater failure: Turn the cold water supply to the heater off at the valve above or near the unit
- Active flooding: Move valuables to higher ground if safe, do not enter standing water if electrical panels are nearby
